Creative and fun to watch, with plenty of musical numbers that had us listening to the soundtrack right after we saw the movie. And the least creepy Willy Wonka yet!

This one got mixed reviews from our family. Though we all loved Willy Wonka, and the musical numbers were fun, the focus on the bad guys’ evil plot made it less whimsical than we all had hoped for from this particular story. My first grader - who read and reread Charlie and The Chocolate Factory this year and loved the original movie - was mostly bored by all the evil plotting.
