8 Academic Summer Camps in NYC

FasTracKids Summer Academic Boot Camp is a skill-based math, reading, and writing program. Kids receive individualized attention based on their ability allowing them to excel at their own pace. Campers get to have fun too with breaks to interact with friends. This can be combined with Summer STE(A)M Academy for a full day of summer camp.

Spend the summer making friends and having fun at the Children's Chinese Book Garden's Chinese Immersion Summer Camp. Campers will practice Mandarin skills, learn about Chinese culture, play ping pong and chess, take Chinese cuisine cooking lessons, calligraphy, and field trips.

Juguemos a Cantar offers a bilingual (Spanish/English) summer camp environment for children. Campers will learn about the food, music, and customs of a variety of Spanish-speaking countries. The day will also include field trips, yoga, music, art, and soccer practice.

Children can spend their summer immersed in the language and culture of France at the Language and Laughter Studio. Each program is rigorous yet fun and relaxed. Kids learn from native speakers through games, music, movement, art, and foods.

Fencers Club Summer Day Camp is a mix of academic programs and fencing practice. Learn and practice the dynamic sport of fencing in the morning and afternoon. In between fencing sessions, campers will engage in activities that inspire academic risk taking and creativity, such as creative writing, applied science, chess, logical puzzle solving and strategy games for kids.

Campers will be immersed in French language and culture taught by native speakers at the French Institute's Summer Camp program. Whether your child is already fluent or they are just getting started, all kids will enjoy the Summer Tour de France theme exploring mountains, waterfronts, and the countryside. Meanwhile, the Teen Club invites teens to explore all things French in New York City.

Carousel of Languages Summer Camp focuses on small groups of five students or less for individualized learning. Native speakers are available in the summer for Mandarin, French, and Spanish. The Carousel Teaching System is based on multi-sensory learning using verbal, visual, and tactile association. Playing games, reading, writing, and music sessions are all part of the program.

Collina Italiana's Summer Camp invites kids to explore the Italian language and culture by playing with friends, watching movies and cartoons, creating art, acting in short theater performances, tasting foods, and venturing out on museum outings around New York City.
