Brown's Berry Farm
Hannah Scott: Brown's Berry Farm is a pesticide-free source for blueberries and blackberries. They have nearly 1,000 bushes total! Organic eggs and vegetables are also available.
Oakview Blueberry Farm
Hannah Scott: Oakview Blueberry Farm has plenty of blueberry bushes to make your trip well worth it! Buckets for picking and bags to take home your fruit are provided. Restrooms are NOT available, however, so plan accordingly!
Pioneer Berries
Hannah Scott: Pioneer Berries is a family-run farm with about 1,000 blueberry bushes for picking. Restrooms and water refills are graciously provided, as are picking buckets for free! No chemicals are sprayed on the plants.
Blakelock's Berries
Hannah Scott: Blakelock's Berries offers two varieties of blueberries particularly bred for southern climates, as well as three varieties of thornless blackberries. The farm is not certified organic, but the owners do not use pesticides.
Moorhead's Blueberry Farm
Hannah Scott: Moorhead's is the oldest pick-your-own blueberry farm in Texas and still going strong! They have 20 acres of land featuring 20 different varieties of blueberries. (I didn't even know 20 different varieties of blueberries existed!) Restrooms are available on-site, and there's no admission fee beyond paying for what you pick.
The Sanctuary Blueberry Farm
Hannah Scott: The Sanctuary Blueberry Farm uses all natural and organic practices to cultivate their 7300 blueberry plants. Buckets and bags are provided free of charge. The farm is family-owned and operated, and owners Tom and Evangeline love getting to know their customers -- so be sure to say hello while you're there!
Atkinson Farms
Hannah Scott: Atkinson Farms is family owned and operated in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas. They offer pick-your-own strawberries and blackberries, as well as a variety of other seasonal fruits and vegetables.
P-6 Farms
Hannah Scott: P-6 Farms offers a wide range of "U-Pick-Em" produce: Cantaloupe, Corn, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Okra, Peas, Peppers (jalapenos, banana & bell), Squash, Tomatoes (grape & regular), Watermelon, and Zucchini. No outside containers are allowed, so bring some cash to purchase picking buckets!
Jollisant Farm
Hannah Scott: Jollisant Farm lovingly grows their produce with "sunshine, water, and care" -- no chemicals or pesticides are used. Visitors can pick their own fruits and vegetables (more than 30 varieties!) including popular crops like strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and pumpkins. Harvest Season Farm
Hannah Scott: Harvest Season Farm (aka Matt Family Orchard) boasts many unique varieties of fruit on their property, including fig trees, Asian pear trees, jujube trees, Asian persimmon trees, thornless blackberries, and lemon trees. Additional fall festival activities are available seasonally.
Froberg's Farm
Hannah Scott: Froberg's Farm is a popular destination for pick your own strawberries. No outside containers are permitted, so be prepared to buy a reusable Froberg bucket to hold your delicious bounty! They have one of the best Houston pumpkin patches in the fall, too.
Chmielewski's Blueberry Farm
Hannah Scott: Some farms offer a wide variety of produce, but Chmielewski's sticks with what they do best -- blueberries! Seven different varieties of blueberries grow on the farm and are available for U-Pick when seasonally ripe. The farm also has a restroom, which makes it an excellent choice for potty training parents like me!
Blessington Farms
Hannah Scott: Blessington Farms invites the public to pick strawberries from December-May and blueberries from May-June. Keep in mind that the ripe fruit is first come, first serve from 10-noon on those days! While you're there, check out one of the many other activities available: fishing, sand mountain, fossil dig, animal encounters, gem mining, and so much more!
Thomas Family Ranch - Blackberries
Hannah Scott: The Thomas Family Ranch offers a pick-your-own blackberry patch in late spring. Check the website for seasonal updates and hours of operation.
