    Trolls Band Together (2023)

The third installment of the family-favorite Trolls franchise has Poppy discovering a surprising secret about Branch's past: he was once part of a superstar boyband!

    Hotel Transylvania (2012)

Erynn:  Older kids might also appreciate that Selena Gomez is the voice of Mavis! Our family loves this movie and we've watched it many times, both around and outside of Halloween.

The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021)

Alexandra F.:  My teen and I loved this movie! It was so clever, colorful and fun, and had us both laughing out loud throughout the whole movie. Definitely great for all ages, but perhaps particularly relevant for older kids and teens, given the familiar relationship challenges between the teen protagonist and her father that are at the heart of the story.

    Yes Day (2021)

Vanessa M.:  The Netflix original movie Yes Day is the perfect film for your next family movie night. Starring Jennifer Garner as the mom who always says no, she and her husband are challenged to give their children a yes day - a whole day where kids are in charge! This movie received thumbs up from parents and kids alike, and also inspired us to have our own yes day!

    Klaus (2019)

Kelly R:  An original backstory about how the legend of Santa came to be, this is the beautifully animated and beautifully told story of an unlikely friendship between a reluctant postman and a reclusive toymaker. It focuses on the spirit of giving rather than magic and elves, and is filled with funny and poignant moments. This Netflix film instantly became one of my family's favorite Christmas movies for kids!

    Enola Holmes (2020)

Kelly R:  The younger sister of Sherlock Holmes has her own mysteries to solve in this charming and funny family movie on Netflix, perfect for tweens and older kids who are able to keep up with the plot twists and clues. We loved Millie Bobby Brown (from Stranger Things) as Enola Holmes, and the sequel is great, too!

    Barbie (2023)

Kelly R:  I haven't laughed this much at a movie in years. We went with a group of middle schoolers and parents and had the best time.

    The Adam Project (2022)

Kelly R:  A time traveler on a mission to save the future teams up with his 12-year-old self. We really loved it...plenty of humor and also quite heartfelt. It's overall a good Netflix pick for families, but best for older kids because of some adult content. Check it out for movie night with tweens or teens.

    The Willoughbys (2020)

Kelly R:  This fantastic movie took us by surprise, and is absolutely one of the best family movies on Netflix! Four siblings, neglected by their parents, hatch a plan to improve their circumstances. It's funny, sweet, and a little bit dark.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (2023)

More than 20 years after breaking records as the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, Netflix presents a follow up to the popular Chicken Run. In this sequel, the original cast is joined by the next generation in standing up to the latest threat to chicken-kind.

    Migration (2023)

Animated adventure following a family of ducks on its migration journey from chilly New England to the Bahamas.

    Back to the Outback (2021)

Kelly R:  A group of deadly-yet-adorable Australian critters escape zoo captivity and head for the Outback in this fun kids movie on Netflix. We thought it was a great pick for family movie night!

    Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)

Kelly R:  My kids and I loved the second installment of the Spider-Verse saga, and enjoyed it just as much as the first one! Be aware that this will be a trilogy, so you'll have to wait a bit longer for the story to be wrapped up.

The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (2019)

Shila:  This family movie on Netflix is based on the amazingly powerful novel by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer. An innovative young boy in Malawi engineers the prototype to building a full-size wind turbine that helps his village thrive. Also based on a true story, this inspiring movie touches on world-known hardships and environmental sustainability.

    The Sea Beast (2022)

Kelly R:  We were really impressed by the detailed animation on this new kids movie on Netflix. It's an adventure story about a girl who stows away on a sea monster hunting ship. A fun pick for kids who like How To Train Your Dragon.
