    Trolls Band Together (2023)

The third installment of the family-favorite Trolls franchise has Poppy discovering a surprising secret about Branch's past: he was once part of a superstar boyband!

    The Christmas Chronicles (2018)

Kurt Russell is the Santa Claus we never knew we needed in this fun Netflix Christmas movie about a brother and sister who team up with the big man to save Christmas after his sleigh crashes in Chicago. Check out the sequel, too.

The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021)

Alexandra F.:  My teen and I loved this movie! It was so clever, colorful and fun, and had us both laughing out loud throughout the whole movie. Definitely great for all ages, but perhaps particularly relevant for older kids and teens, given the familiar relationship challenges between the teen protagonist and her father that are at the heart of the story.

    Trolls (2016)

Michael Farina:  If you are planning to watch this near bedtime, be sure to leave a little extra time for an impromptu dance party. My 3-yo leads us in a dance every time we watch this flick.

    Yes Day (2021)

Vanessa M.:  The Netflix original movie Yes Day is the perfect film for your next family movie night. Starring Jennifer Garner as the mom who always says no, she and her husband are challenged to give their children a yes day - a whole day where kids are in charge! This movie received thumbs up from parents and kids alike, and also inspired us to have our own yes day!

    Klaus (2019)

Kelly R:  An original backstory about how the legend of Santa came to be, this is the beautifully animated and beautifully told story of an unlikely friendship between a reluctant postman and a reclusive toymaker. It focuses on the spirit of giving rather than magic and elves, and is filled with funny and poignant moments. This Netflix film instantly became one of my family's favorite Christmas movies for kids!

    Sing (2016)

Kelly R:  Sing (and Sing 2) are some of my family's all-time best movies for family movie night. We watched Sing 2 twice in the same weekend. These totally fun and uplifting movies about ambitious animals with a talent for song have soundtracks that appeal to kids and adults, so you won't mind all of the repeat viewings!

    Enola Holmes (2020)

Kelly R:  The younger sister of Sherlock Holmes has her own mysteries to solve in this charming and funny family movie on Netflix, perfect for tweens and older kids who are able to keep up with the plot twists and clues. We loved Millie Bobby Brown (from Stranger Things) as Enola Holmes, and the sequel is great, too!

    The Adam Project (2022)

Kelly R:  A time traveler on a mission to save the future teams up with his 12-year-old self. We really loved it...plenty of humor and also quite heartfelt. It's overall a good Netflix pick for families, but best for older kids because of some adult content. Check it out for movie night with tweens or teens.

    Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (2023)

Shy, teenage Ruby Gillman just wants to fit in in high school, but when she discovers that she is a descendant of the warrior Kraken queens, has to step up to find a way to protect those she loves.

Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)

Kelly R:  One of my family's favorite new Christmas movies for kids, Jingle Jangle is filled with the wonder, spirit and excess of Christmas without being explicitly about the holiday. Told with fantastic Broadway-style dancing and musical numbers, the story is about a brilliant toymaker who gives up on his passion when he is betrayed by his assistant, but the magic sparks again years later when his granddaughter comes for a visit.

    The Little Rascals (1994)

Maria Castillo:  Young love! Forts! Club houses! Cart races! Need I say more?! Parents, you know you want to watch it again.

    The Willoughbys (2020)

Kelly R:  This fantastic movie took us by surprise, and is absolutely one of the best family movies on Netflix! Four siblings, neglected by their parents, hatch a plan to improve their circumstances. It's funny, sweet, and a little bit dark.

Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (2023)

More than 20 years after breaking records as the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time, Netflix presents a follow up to the popular Chicken Run. In this sequel, the original cast is joined by the next generation in standing up to the latest threat to chicken-kind.

    Migration (2023)

Animated adventure following a family of ducks on its migration journey from chilly New England to the Bahamas.
