Amanda Banta: Kids will build up their skills in gymnastics and confidence in themselves with the range of classes offered by Planet Gymnastics. The youngest gymnasts will develop a foundation in the sport with obstacle courses and age-appropriate use of apparatuses, moving up to tumbling and strength-building. School-aged athletes will work on bars, beams, vault, tumbling, and trampoline in classes limited to 8 kids. The gym also offers programs for girls and boys who want to move toward an advanced competitive track.

Gymnastics Academy of Boston
Amanda Banta: The Gymnastics Academy of Boston gives kids of all ages the opportunity to learn gymnastics skills in a fun environment. Toddlers and preschoolers will be introduced to the basic skills and equipment, developing strength and confidence. As the kids get older, classes will segregate by gender and focus on skills appropriate for each level. Equipment for boys and girls includes bars, beam, rings and tumble track. Boys class also may incorporate Parkour skills.

Gymnastics Express
Amanda Banta: Even the littlest of gymnast enthusiasts can get in on the action at Gymnastics Express. The Tumblers class gives preschool and kindergarten kids an introduction to gymnastics with age-appropriate obstacles and exploration of the equipment pieces. With the Twisters classes, for grades 1 to 6, kids will increase their skills, developing their techniques with the equipment and routines. Beginner courses may be coed, while there will be separate programs for girls and boys at the intermediate and advanced programs. Register here.

Rhythmic Dreams
Tracy Snyder Molina: Rhythmic Dreams was first started to introduce rhythmic gymnastics into the lives of more girls and young women in the Boston area for all skill levels. Their Rising Stars classes are great for beginners or those that want to continue the sport at a relaxed pace. They have a fit for each level and build upon any previous experience your child may have from dance, skating or gymnastics. The Rising Stars Team and Junior Olympic team offer a more intense, competitive program for those that wish to compete at a higher level and preschool classes are also available.

Broderick Gymnastics
Amanda Banta: In addition to the gymnastics skills, classes at Broderick Gymnastics promote an athlete's overall fitness by building up self-esteem, strength and body awareness. The preschoolers will be introduced to the sport, building a foundation with age-appropriate activities. Starting at age 5 kids can further develop their gymnastics classes at advancing skill levels. Most classes will be split by gender and skill level. Broderick also offers a Tumble class for kids to advance their tumbling skills on the track. strip and spring floor.

Rhythmic Stars Gymnastics Academy
Tracy Snyder Molina: Led by Internationally-renown coach, Varduhi Nahapetya, Rhythmic Stars provides a variety of classes in the sport of rhythmic gymnastics including toddler and parent classes, recreational classes and a unique rhythmic gymnastics and ballet combo. Eligible students from the recreational classes may progress to the competitive team. The benefits of this unique sport include improved flexibility, agility, strength and coordination, increased physical fitness, goal-setting, positive self-esteem and social skills.

Kathy Corrigan's School of Gymnastics
Amanda Banta: With just 6-8 kids per class, the beginner and intermediate classes at Kathy Corrigan's School of Gymnastics offer kids a great way to develop their skills and build self-confidence in their abilities. Girls will learn dance, tumbling, uneven parallel bars, vaulting, tumble-track, and balance beam while boys will be introduced to tumbling, still rings, parallel bars, vaulting, tumble-track, and conditioning exercises. Classes are also available for high school athletes to practice and enhance their skills and routines.

South Shore Gymnastics
Amanda Banta: Kids as young as 3 can start their gymnastics career at South Shore Gymnastics. Boys and girls ages 3-5 will work on coordination and motor skills in the Star Hoppers class. SSGA then offers advanced gymnastics programs for girls 5 and older, encompassing tumbling, routines and equipment pieces and preparing the girls for team competition. SSGA also offers Girlz Gym Jam for girls ages 10 and older who are new to gymnastics, giving these beginners an opportunity to learn the sport with others their own age.

South Shore Community Center
Amanda Banta: The gymnastics program at the South Shore Community Center has been going strong for decades and offers a range of kid programs. Tumblebugs, for the youngest students, will focus on coordination and balance and introduces age-appropriate gym equipment. There are coed classes through age 9 to increase those skills. The programs for girls 5 - 12 focus on developing advanced skills and using the gym equipment, leading to the 12-17-year-old program that prepares girls for high school level competition.
