C Cordelia Raymond: The dogs parks are large. The playground is amazing. Expansive!!! All rubber flooring.

McCord Park
Stephanie W.: McCord Park in Little Elm features some of the best playgrounds with truly one-of-a-kind equipment. It has a giant spherical jungle gym to climb on, and a basket-shaped hammock swing your kids can lie down in. In addition, it has single, double and triple slides for both younger and older children, as well as baby swings for your littlest tots. Instead of typical wood chips, the playground has a hard rubber surface for kids to run around on!
White Rock Lake
This whole 1000+ acre park is a playground for people of all ages to explore, with miles of kid-friendly hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, a stunning lake offering boating and fishing, dog park, and historical markers. Of course, five actual playgrounds are dotted across the grounds for children to play on as well - even 1 dog park!
Valley View Park
The 27+ acre Valley View Park is home to hiking and biking trails that criss-cross along the beautiful White Rock Creek. The large playground is great for both big and little kids, and offers a covered picnic pavilion and bbq grills nearby. Soccer fields are also on site!
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve Playground
Stephanie W.: Arbor Hills has two separate play areas, one of which is more appropriate for smaller children ages 2-5. This is clearly marked, and both have safety features like guardrails and a design that makes it difficult to climb where not designated, putting your mind at ease while your kids play! Both playgrounds have shaded areas and share a covered pavilion with picnic tables, perfect for a snack and water break. Kids will also love the wide open spaces the playgrounds are surrounded by to play games like tag or frisbee!
Beard Park Playground
Made to look like a treehouse, this unique playground has one open and two covered slides, one of which looks like a giant tree trunk, plus some stand alone structures like a log balance beam, swinging bridge and rock climbing structure. There are even chairs made to look like the tops of acorns that you can sit in as you watch your children play!
Mary Heads Carter Park
Mary Heads Carter Park offers an epic three-story playground with giant slides, rock climbing feature, partially shaded play areas, grills and picnic pavilion, restrooms, and walking trails. Separate playground area for younger children makes this park great for both younger and older children.
Cole Park
Stephanie W.: Uptowners rejoice! While there aren't too many playgrounds in the area, Cole Park has a great playground your kids will love! There are swings for babies and big kids, plus a toddler sized playground and a playground structure for older kids. This park has been around since 1923, and has plenty of wide open space and a basketball hoop as well!
Exall Park
The well-maintained grounds of Exall Park make an excellent play space for kids. Families will enjoy the sprawling playground, basketball courts, softball field, walking trails, exercise equipment, grills and picnic area, and recreation center. The park is dog friendly too!
Klyde Warren Park
With a dedicated children's park & play area, botanical & butterfly gardens, game carts with board games and daily special activities for children (i.e., water gun fights, STEM activities, concerts, storytimes), this is one of the best parks in Dallas! Food trucks are on site for when the family gets hungry.
