Scott's Place Playground
Special South Florida playground with a horse theme, designed to meet the needs of all children. The playground includes a full acre of accessible playground equipment including slides, sensory items, shades, swings, wheelchair ramps and reading nook with a chest full of children's storybooks.
Tiger Shark Cove
This playground features an ocean theme with plenty of fun and bright features for kids to explore. Check out the large tiger shark sculpture, sand castle, sunken pirate ship play structure, crab shack, submarine with portholes, obstacle courses, and swing sets. As a bonus, there are shaded areas and soft rubberized flooring. Water stations and picnic pavilions are also available.
Pirates Cove Playground at Patch Reef Park
Perfectly-themed Boca Raton playground full of fun and interactive features, including a large pirate ship play structure. The playground is flanked by a spring-mounted dolphin and seahorse to ride, and rocks and cargo nets for additional climbing fun. A water adventure area has three cannons that shoot water. On the other side of the playground are four computer-controlled stations that test agility, memory, speed, strategy, balance, muscle power and quick reflexes.
Science Playground at Sugar Sand Park
Tri-level playground full of interactive components demonstrating a variety of scientific principles for all ages. Inclusive features like wheelchair accessible swings, slides, sensory walls, and an expanded climbing structure make this a welcoming playground for all ages and abilities. There's also a sea creature-themed splash pad and train station toddler play section. Other highlights of the Sugar Sand Park (some with a fee) include a Science Explorium, nature trails, professional theatre and carousel.
Betti Stradling Park
This community park is home to the vibrant Princess Meadow's Playground, with a towering play structure for climbing, large twisty tunnel slides, music stations, and a new splash pad for summer of 2022. In addition to the playground there's plenty of open field space for running, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic pavilions and exercise stations, and a skate park.
Tom Sawyer's Play Island at Amelia Earhart Park
This is one of the best playgrounds in Miami! A tree fort-style playground is designed for children and tots featuring spinners, slides, climbing structures, balance beams, swings and musical instruments; all fully accessible. The park also has 5 lakes, a watersports complex, bike trails and farm village with live animals to visit.
Flamingo Park
If you're looking for playgrounds in Miami Beach, Flamingo Park is one to check out. This playground area features: a freestanding rock wall, upper body “Fit Kid” elementary equipment and spring riders
Salvadore Park
This Coral Gables gem is one of the best playgrounds in Miami! Designed as an adventure playground that's inclusive and accessible, kids of all abilities can enjoy a seated zipline, large-scale musical instruments, see saws, spinner, slides and more.
A.D. Barnes Park
A.D. Barnes Park spans over 65 acres including a well-equipped playground with brightly colored play structures. In addition, there's a splash pad, outdoor pool, nature center, basketball courts, nature trails and fishing pier.
Tropical Park
Popular spot for festivals, horse shows and farmers markets also features covered playgrounds, one appealing to toddlers and another for older kids. Barbecue pits, sports fields, a dog park and fitness stations are just some of the other amenities available.
Alice C. Wainwright Park
What sets this Coconut Grove park apart is the gorgeous views of Biscayne Bay (and the breeze that comes with it!). Featuring two padded playgrounds, one for toddlers and one for bigger kids, there are plenty of climbing, swinging and sliding activities. There's also a basketball court, grassy area for hanging out, and walking path along the water.
Kendall Indian Hammocks Park
This very large park in the center of Kendall has a nature-based playground with equipment for a variety of ages. The park also features nature trails, a decked out skate park, and disc golf courses.
Dante Fascell Park
Dante Fascell Park features a gated playground in a quiet section of South Miami. The playground is especially fun for toddlers and preschoolers, with appropriately sized slides and jungle gyms. The jogging/walking trail makes for a nice walk in or out of a stroller. Handball courts, tennis courts, beach volleyball court and picnic pavilions are also available.
Evelyn Greer Park
This 10-acre Miami park has a shaded playground with separate areas of age-appropriate equipment including a climbing wall, several slides, swings and a fire fighter pole. There is also an open gazebo (with a wi-fi spot) and picnic tables. Even better - if you're looking to get in a workout while the kids play, there is outdoor exercise equipment practically overlooking the playground.
Jungle Journey Playground at Zoo Miami
If you're planning a visit to Zoo Miami, kids will have a blast at the spongy-floored Jungle Journey Playground. There's a jungle gym, wobbly bridge to cross, a life-size gorilla and hippo, and a hollow log. If they're ready to cool off, head to the Ocean Voyage Playground with 28 water features including the whale tail waterfall and touch-activated spray rods.
