Klingel's Farm
Joni Monacell: Their 11-acre corn maze has been around since 1998. A tractor-driven wagon takes you out to the maze, and in case you need a little help, they have “corn helpers” throughout the maze. The pumpkin patch is just a short wagon ride away from the maze. If you are still looking for something to do, they have a pumpkin launch, straw fort and corn box, barnyard animals and a mountain slide to check out!
Terhune Orchards
Experience the fun of farming. Come to Terhune Orchards to pick your own berries, flowers, apples and pumpkins.
Norz Hill Farm & Market
Visit Norz Hill Farm & Market and take a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkins, gourds, and squash. Challenge yourself to find your way through their 5-acre corn maze. Afterwards, visit the farm animals, Kids' Corner, or take a farm tour and stop at one of the many photo opportunities.
Alstede Farms
Joni Monacell: Accessible via NJ Transit, Alstede Farms offers pumpkin and apple picking, with almost 50 varieties of apples! They also have hay wagon rides, bounce houses, a corn maze, and frequent fruit festivals.
Stony Hill Farms - Maze Fun Park
Joni Monacell: Stony Hill Farms offers an elaborate 10-acre maze with a new theme each year. The maze features bridges, games, themed facts, and takes around 1-3 hours to complete. Stony Hill also offers a mini 1-acre corn maze, rope maze, tile maze, life-size barnyard boardgame, trike races, hayrides, and u-pick apples and pumpkins.
Von Thun's Country Farm Market
Joni Monacell: A pumpkin patch and a 6-acre corn maze make this farm worth the trip into the countryside. To make it fun for everyone, the farm has a number of different games, like Simon Says and Farm Scene Investigation, to play as you go through the maze. The trip through the maze should take no more than an hour. This gives you plenty of time to pick out a pumpkin & some apples, and to check out the pumpkin blasters, corn cannons and over 20 other fun farm activities!
Etsch Farms
Joni Monacell: Etsch is home to a themed 8-acre corn maze each year. They have a similar themed smaller maze for younger children. You can roam the larger maze and look for clues to their crossword puzzle, or just take a leisurely walk through. They have plenty of pumpkins to pick, as well. Add in a hayride and plenty of great food & drink, and you have a fun-filled day!
Conklin Farm U-Pick
Nancy L.: Pick your pumpkins among the sunflowers on this farm. Walk the grounds, visit the farm animals, and check out the large selection of mums available for purchase. On weekends, grab a bite at the Snack Shack, take a hayride (they have a haunted hayride too) and make your way through the corn maze. Special Friday afternoon activities include face painting, balloons and free hayrides.
Hurds Family Farm
Joni Monacell: This is a great location for younger children as it has a manageable, 2-acre corn maze. There is a pumpkin patch as well. There are plenty of other activities for toddlers and older kids, including hayrides, apple launching, a giant air bounce and animal feeding.
Green Meadows Farm Brooklyn
Alexandra F.: Find that perfect pumpkin at Green Meadows Farm Brooklyn, and visit with the alpacas, turkeys, pigs, goats and other friendly animals while you are at it! Admission also includes tons of fun fall activities, including a kid-friendly haunted house, hayride, and barn activities like a corn box, giant hay wagon slide and the barnyard playground. You can even milk a cow!
Queens County Farm
Joni Monacell: Queens County Farm is an amazing destination right in NYC! Starting in late September, the 3-acre Amazing Maize Maze opens and features clues and puzzles to solve as you walk through. On select dates in October, the maze is open for Maze by Moonlight, an opportunity to explore in the dark! The pumpkin patch opens in early October. They also have apples, weekend children's festivals, and a haunted house.
Outhouse Orchards
Joni Monacell: Outhouse Orchards offer a country experience so close to the city. Pick pumpkins or apples and enjoy the challenge of navigating their corn maze.
F&W Schmitt’s Family Farm
Joni Monacell: This farm is home to a pumpkin patch and a 7-acre corn maze with a new theme each year. Come pick pumpkins all week and on the weekends, the corn maze, hayrides, and farm animals are all available. On weekend nights, they have a haunted corn maze (not recommend for young children), and in October, they have one of the scariest haunted houses on Long Island!
Fink's Country Farm
Joni Monacell: Fink's Country Farm, located on Long Island, has farm festivals that include u-pick pumpkins and a 5-acre corn maze. There are many other attractions at Fink's, including great food & drink, hayrides and more.
Lewin Farms
Nancy L.: Lewin farms is a family farm now in the fourth generation. They were the first pick-your-own farm on Long Island and are continuing that long tradition with a wide variety of u-pick fields throughout the spring summer and fall, and even into the winter. Some of the varieties of crops they grow include: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, pumpkins, Christmas trees and more!
