Cut-Your-Own Christmas Tree Farms Near NYC

Jennie Utsinger:  Looking for a more unusual tree this year? Try one of Wyckoff's colored trees in pink, purple, turquoise, white, and more. Several varieties of non-dyed fir and Blue Spruce are also available. If you call in advance, the farm will customize a wreath using ribbon, glass balls, ornaments, and other embellishments to match your decor. The farm also offers guided hayride tours of the 170 acre farm on weekends.

After you've selected your tree, pick up some apple cider donuts and fudge at the bakery or browse the Apple Farm and Country Markets for holiday decorations and gifts.

Wreaths and other holiday decorations are for purchase in the Christmas Barn Shop and kids will love sampling candy canes, donuts and hot cider. On weekends, roast chestnuts or marshmallows by the small bonfire. Visit on the day of the Newfoundland Dog Tree Pull, and have your tree pulled in by a beautiful Newfoundland!

Jennie Utsinger:  Tilden Lane Farm has been run by the Tilden family since 1793. Blue Spruce, White Spruce, Norway Spruce, White Firs, and Fraser Firs are grown at the farm. Saws and string are provided and staff will net your tree and secure it to your car. Wreaths, pine cones, and holly boughs are also sold.

Jennie Utsinger:  One of the westernmost cut your own tree farms on Long Island, Elwood Farm offers many tree types throughout the 20 acre farm. Pre-cut trees are also available. Note that you must bring your own handsaw for this farm!
