We're crowdsourcing the best fun date ideas in the Twin Cities! Check the map to find inspiration for all sorts of romantic, unique or cheap date ideas near you, and add reviews for your tried-and-true favorite things to do in Minneapolis-Saint Paul for couples. What do you love to do together when you don't feel like the standard dinner and a movie?
It's worth taking a break from your current binge worthy show to try one of these date night ideas, but we've also got a roundup of stay at home dates for when you'd rather stay in (or can't swing a sitter).
Buck Hill
Hannah Scott: Two words: snow tubing! This may seem like an activity reserved for the kids, but why should they have all the fun? Grab your honey and go have a blast at Buck Hill on your own! You can try it on the snow in the winter, but they also have snow-free options in summer and fall.
Kitchen in the Market
Hannah Scott: My husband has been obsessed with cooking shows lately, so the classes at Kitchen in the Market are right up his alley! Each class is themed, and teaches cooking skills through the preparation of local, organic, and sustainable food. Yum!
Vertical Endeavors
Hannah Scott: Full disclosure: rock climbing is on my bucket list, but I still haven’t tried it yet. My hubs is a big fan, though, so I plan to surprise him by joining him for a climbing date. Vertical Endeavors offers an orientation to get you started on your first visit (a big relief for me!), then plenty of wall space and bouldering areas to scale to your heart’s content. Wish me luck!
Acme Comedy Company and Sticks Restaurant
Hannah Scott: The couple who laughs together stays together, right? Take in a show at the Acme Comedy Company and your laugh quota will be overflowing! I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need to sit still and be entertained (and Netflix can only cut it for so long). The accompanying Sticks Restaurant offers some much-needed munchies to round out an excellent date night.
Four Seasons Curling Club at The Ice House
Hannah Scott: One of our first landlords was majorly into curling, which is where I first realized it was a sport that was not reserved for Olympians! The Four Seasons Curling Club offers a Learn to Curl class so you and your date can challenge each other to get outside your comfort zone! If you fall in love with the sport, consider joining the club and making it a regular hobby together!
