A different theme will be selected each week in which 3-5 books are read by staff from the Wissahickon Public Library. Bring a blanket to sit on and get comfy for some reading fun. Afterwards, enjoy the wonderful playground for more outdoor fun!

Kids will be entertained by stories, music, readings, interactive activities and be able to explore educational objects from the museum's collection. The events are held outside when the weather is good so bring a blanket or chair and refreshments. The events will be moved indoors for inclement weather.

June, July & August dates are held at the UPick Cherries and Blueberries Orchard (231 Powder Mill Road)

Story N' Pick, an hour story time, precedes your picking adventure & often centers around the fruit you're about to pick. The season will depend on the weather, & crop availability, so check ahead to ensure pick times. You'll find a variety of fruit throughout the seasons from strawberries early on, to apples in the fall.
