Castle Restaurant
Kristy Pepping: If your kids are into playing princesses and princes then the Castle Restaurant will make for a fun night out. This is a more upscale type restaurant, but the menu does offer a wide range to accommodate different tastes. Some of the options are mussels, quail, pizza and a hamburger club sandwich. The restaurant is built like a castle complete with a moat and turrets. And the walls are adorned with suits or armor and weapons from the era.
The Melting Pot
Kristy Pepping: The Melting Pot is a fun restaurant that serves fondue. Typical meals usually start with a cheese fondue, followed by the main course of fish or meat and finally, everyone's favorite, a chocolate fondue with dessert items. There is also a kid's menu featuring the same menu but smaller portions. Plus, there are some kiddie cocktails like Very Berry Lemonade and Coop's Cherry Luau an orange and mango punch.
Sacco Bowl
Kristy Pepping: When you think bowling, you probably don't associate great food along with it. However, Sacco Bowl is different. You can enjoy a game of candlepin bowling and a great meal all at the same time. They offer all organic pizzas and even gluten-free crust. If you are not in the pizza mood, Sacco's also has some fresh salads that are build-your-own so fully customizable. Plus, kids can watch safely from a bench while their pizzas are being made.
Legal Harborside
Tracy Snyder Molina: Legal Seafoods is synonymous with quality and freshness. While there are several locations within Boston, Legal Harborside is particularly kid-friendly. The patio is a great place to watch the boats come in and see the planes take off from Logan Airport. On weekends, from 11am-1pm, kids (under 12) are given a net and can catch fish in the tank in the ground on the 1st floor. The third floor has a deck with a retractable roof for the summer time. Kids will enjoy the large variety of seafood, pastas or pizzas on the menu. Check out the menu options here including gluten-free options.
Bit Bar
Kristy Pepping: At Bit Bar, everyone can be a kid again. It offers 30 video games to play for fun or to compete as a family. It's the perfect combination of entertainment and food which makes for a fun family night out. As for food, there is a kid's menu which includes items like mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese. For adults, there are burgers, salads and dishes like veggie stir fry for vegetarians. Bit Bar can also accommodate vegan and gluten-free guests. And kids 12 and under will enjoy $3 in game tokens for any dinner menu item purchased. Please note: No kids are allowed after 8 pm (21 and over only).
