Jennie Utsinger: The Little Gym has multiple locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn and offers classes for babies and kids. Parent and child classes are a great introduction to gymnastics and start your little ones rolling and somersaulting. Pre-K and grade school age children develop gymnastics skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Birthday bashes are very simple and super fun.
NYC Elite Gymnastics
Jennie Utsinger: NYC Elite has locations on the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, and in Tribeca. Toddler and preschool classes focus on movement and basic gymnastic skills. Classes for kids over age 5 are divided into boys and girls and include invitation only advanced classes. The USAG Competitive Team is invitation only and members have competed in NY State, Regional,and National championships. There's also a recreational competitive team for kids age 7 and older.

Chelsea Piers Youth Gymnastics
The 23,000 square foot gymnastics center at Chelsea Piers has options for babies and children of all ages, from introductory to competitive gymnastics. Little Athletes 6 months - 5 years learn the fundamentals of gymnastics while kids aged 5-16 participate in all of the Olympic gymnastics events and can progress to advanced levels. There's also a competitive team for gymnasts from level 3 – to Elite.
Aerial Arts NYC
Jennie Utsinger: Kids (age 14+) can attend classes at Aerial Arts NYC, which include Silks, Rope, Lyra, Static Trapeze, Hammock, Straps, & Aerial Conditioning. Private classes are available for younger students (age 5-13).
Columbus Gym
Jennie Utsinger: Programs at the Columbus Gym include parent/child classes for babies, 40 minute "mini gym" classes for preschoolers, and hour long gymnastics classes for older kids. During class, children will follow a skills progression program on the beams, bars, rings, and trampoline. Gymnastics birthday parties are fun, too, incorporating games with scooters, balls, rings, hoops and more.

Industry Gymnastics
LIC Gymnastics offers recreational and competitive classes in a fun and nurturing environment. Gymnasts are trained in all Olympic events: the vault, bars, beam, floor, rings, pommel horse, and parallel bars. Classes range from a gentle introduction to movement for babies to teen and adult classes. The gym also offers a gender expansive gymnastics class, where transgender and other gender-variant can take gymnastics without worrying about strict gender divisions.
Jodi's Gym
This cheerful gymnastics studio on the Upper East Side has a variety of classes for babies and kids. There are movement classes for the little gymnasts, a tumbling program for preschoolers, and three levels of gymnastics for older kids: introductory, accelerated, and advanced. If your child could use extra assistance with a particular skill or prefers a one-on-one setting, private lessons are available.
Gymtime Rhythm and Glues Gymnastics Classes
Jennie Utsinger: Gymtime offers classes for beginner to advanced gymnasts. There are both boys and girls' developmental gymnastics classes for ages 5-10 and recreational team and competitive team gymnastics for girls aged 6+. The 10 - 17 month old class is a gym, movement, and sign language program and toddlers and preschoolers can also sign up for combinations programs, such as gymnastics/cooking or gymnastics/sports. Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation
Jennie Utsinger: The Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation was formed by Hall of Fame rhythmic gymnast, Wendy Hilliard, to provide free and low cost gymnastics to kids. The hour long classes incorporate the development of gymnastics skills, rhythmic gymnastics, and tumbling. Children who qualify may enroll in the intermediate gymnastics class.
Ages: 3-17
Cost: classes start at $380/a 13 class semester plus an $80 annual registration fee. Scholarships are available.
Forest Hills Rhythmic Gymnastics
Jennie Utsinger: This Forest Hills studio provides instruction in rhythmic gymnastics, which involves elements of gymnastics, ballet and modern dance, as well as incorporation of five pieces of hand held apparatus: the rope, ball, hoop, ribbon and clubs. Classes are available for beginner through advanced students.
