OhioHealth Chiller
Katie G.: If you're looking to ice skate in Central Ohio, the OhioHealth Chiller is the place to be. There are five locations throughout the Columbus area so chances are there's a Chiller close to you. The Chiller facilities have NHL size ice rinks and offer open skate, ice skating lessons, hockey leagues and birthday parties. There are locker rooms for changing and a concession stand if your family needs a drink or snack.

The Ohio State University Ice Rink
Katie G.: Located on the campus of Ohio State University, the OSU Ice Rink offers open skating, hockey and skating lessons and hockey schools. Open skate dates and times vary by month. A pro shop is available at the rink offering OSU hockey apparel, equipment and skates. There are various visitor parking lots are available on campus.

Kelly R: Newark's Ice Arena aims to offer families affordable skating opportunities for all skill levels, and public skate times are held often throughout the week. Learn to skate classes range from toddler opportunities and beginner lessons to advanced ice dancing, figure skating, and freestyle. Hockey offerings include drop-in play for youth and families, Pre Hockey classes for beginners, and a Learn to Play Hockey program run by The Newark Ice Hockey Association with team-based opportunities. Skating and BroomBall birthday parties are available.
