Here's an interactive list of parent recommendations for kids arts and crafts places around Los Angeles and Orange County. Where do your kids like to go for art classes, drop-in pottery painting, canvas art and other crafty activities?

Riverside Art Museum
While a trip to the Riverside Art Museum can always inspire kids, did you know they can enroll in classes on-site, too? Everyone from preschool age and up can join in, and there are classes for children with special needs, too.
Drawn2Art
Locations all over LA make it easy to find a program to suit your child's artistic abilities. But beyond their wide availability, Drawn2Art uses a step-by-step method to instruct students, helping them become more skilled and more independent as they create original artwork. With pastels, acrylic, watercolor, oils, and more, kids will hone their skills and bring home proof!
Corona Art Association
Kids' classes include all materials and introduce them to different mediums and guided projects. Plus, there are unique (and free) programs for children with special needs.
Fibo Kids Art Academy
Even the youngest artists can start out learning about pastels and paints plus art history with classes at Fibo. Younger kids' classes start at one hour long while older kids can attend for two hours at a time. Older art students will create a portfolio that may even help them secure college scholarships or college credit.
ShuChih Art Studio
Color Me Mine
If your kids are into ceramics and painting, Color Me Mine has you covered. There are tons of LA-area locations, and any time they're open, kids can drop in and work on their masterpieces. Just choose what you want to paint, paint it, they'll fire it, and then you can pick it up!
SPLAT Action Art Studio
SPLAT: SPLAT encourages individual expression. With innovative tools like air guns, paint scrapers, spray paint, and stencils, each guest creates their own unique masterpiece, making the experience far more interactive, social, and personal.
Purple Twig
Open studio time lets kids and caregivers co-create. Projects and materials change each month, so kids can get interactive with sculpting, weaving, and more! Classes start at toddler age, where caregivers are encouraged to participate, but go up to age 11. A unique twist on the art drop in experience for kids, PLAY will drop-in to your home or outdoor space to host an art session for your next playdate!
Wizard of Art
If you have older (or more mature) children, they'll love the approach to art with the Wizard. Classes enroll all ages with up to 11 students, so kids will rub elbows with people of all ages and abilities- in true artist form. Projects start with drawing and progress through charcoal, pastels, and painting.
Boone Children's Gallery at LACMA
The Boone Children's Gallery is part of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and this space is is open on Saturdays for all ages to explore brush painting. Staff can introduce kids to different painting techniques, give tips, and provide high chairs for little ones.
Art Zone
Studio Together is Art Zone's open studio time where kids and parents can get messy together. Kids are welcome to explore paint, finger paint, clay play, printmaking, drawing, and collage-making in a stimulating environment.
Family Art Studio at Skirball Cultural Center
Each month the Skirball Family Art Studio hosts a different themed art project, and you can drop in during Museum hours to take part. Afterward, explore the Museum's other exhibits that expose kids to art and culture from all around the world.
Brentwood Art Center
Kids' classes span everything from mixed media, drawing, and cartooning to clay sculpture and fashion illustration. Teens have their own courses that involve more advanced instruction and projects.
