Bins & Things Lego-Compatible Storage Container
Shila: This is my recommended solution for storing smaller Lego kit pieces, such as Lego Friends sets (e.g., Ice Cream Parlor, Hair Salon, etc.) or any other Lego build-it kit of a similar size. My daughters love to put these type of kits together, and then take them completely apart for imaginative play. But it's a challenge to keep the kit pieces together. We've stored the pieces (and the pamphlet of instructions) inside these cozy containers so that no pieces of the kit get lost in any shuffle. The boxes stack nice in a closet, too. It also comes with a handle as part of its carrying case feature.
Brik Tile: Build-On Peel & Stick Wall Tiles
Shila: These wall tiles for bedroom décor feature wall-to-wall storage and offer a unique way to play with Legos, too. The tiles features a peel and stick adhesive strong enough to withstand Lego pieces clicking on-and-off, yet gentle enough to remove anytime down the road. No glue is required. Kids can mount many of their Legos when not in use.
Note: these tiles can also be made to good use as baseplates for DIY Lego tabletops.
SlideAway Toy Storage Basket and Play Mat
Shila: This brilliant piece of canvas zips-up to store hundreds of Lego pieces in a 15x15X12 cylindrical tote. The lid itself also acts as a giant playmat to keep those pieces off the actual floor. When playtime is over, the lid funnels everything back into the tote for another day!
UTEX 2 in 1 Kids Construction Play Table
Shila: This Lego storage table offers under-the-table pull out drawers to store anything you wish, including hundreds of Lego pieces. The top of the table is an extra large Lego baseplate to build upon. If you turn that baseplate over, the tabletop itself can be made to use as a regular table!
To me, under-the-table storage drawers are key to a good Lego table. Notice that other Lego tables offer storage under the tabletop itself, but that poses an inconvenient issue for kids having to uplift everything they're building in order to gain trunk-like access to more pieces.
Bins & Things Toy Storage Organizer
Shila: These deep and spacious Lego storage containers are clearly marked for the occasion given its themed bricked-lid design. Moreover, I like how these storage boxes are clear, as my kids are personally more encouraged to play when things are not "out of sight, out mind."
Toy Organizer Rack with Bins
Many family playrooms (and preschools and daycares) are outfitted with these popular organizer racks for stuffed animals, books, arts and crafts - and Legos! The open-faced storage bins are angled for easy viewing and allow for a quick and easy way to tidy up with a simple toss. The bins themselves also pull down for easy transport to the floor or a play table.
Room Copenhagen Lego Storage Brick
Agreatmom2!: This item is sold in stores. It's a huge Lego with top included and can store thousands of Legos.
BYGGLEK LEGO® box with lid
Shila: These Lego storage containers from IKEA come in a few sizes and many colors to help organize those little pieces in your home. The boxes snap shut, are stackable, and appeal to a modern design style.
LEGO Storage 4 -Piece Tote and Play Mat
Shila: This 3 in 1 tote comes in handy for parents and kids on the run. Zip-up your Legos in the smaller compartments and take it anywhere with ease. From playdates to the grandparents' house, these duffels make Lego storage simple to carry. In addition, the overall tote folds down to use as a playmat!
Otto & Ben Folding Toy Box Chest
Shila: Include form and function when it comes to unique Lego organization ideas. This piece of furniture opens up to store anything, including quite possibly, thousands of Legos. When it's not open and in use, enjoy it as an ottoman or reading bench. A creative addition for your playroom, or any room in the house!
