    Located in South Milwaukee, Grant Park is most known for its beautiful hiking trails, specifically the Seven Bridges Trail. In addition to swimming they also have sand volleyball courts and a concession stand.

    Don't let the name fool you, this is the perfect trail for your mini-history buffs! This 3.7 mile hike is not only great for taking in fantastic views of the city skyline and the river, this trail has history. This trail has contributed to the revitalization of neighborhoods that are next to to the Milwaukee River. In fact, its corridor was once used by freight trains transporting the ingredients for beer to some of Milwaukee’s famous breweries.

    Schlitz Audubon Nature Center

    Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is Milwaukee’s comprehensive nature center, located just north of the city along Lake Michigan. They offer miles of trails that take visitors through forests, wetlands, restored prairies, ravines, bluffs and shoreline. The Green Tree Accessible Trail is right by the observation tower, and is a short quarter mile loop perfect for families with little ones. Educational programs include a nature preschool, summer camps and a raptor program where kids can meet the center's resident hawks, owls, eagles, and falcons.
