9 Summer Theater Camps Around Indianapolis

Acting, singing, communication, creativity, memorization, confidence and teamwork are all skills taught at the Mud Theatre's Barn R.A.T.S. Summer Camps. Each Friday, parents, relatives, and friends are invited to a showcase of everything learned during the week.

Jungle Jams at Carmel's Center for the Performing Arts uses music and animals to teach kids about positive character qualities while introducing rhythm and groove through percussion and rhythm activities. Your child will make music, play instruments, sing and actually make 3 instruments to bring home. The week long camp ends with a 30 minute Drum Circle Celebration.

The Civic Theatre presents summer theatre camps for budding actors, singers and dancers! Campers will receive professional instruction in a fun and creative environment. Family and friends will be invited for an end of camp performance!

Gain confidence, build self-esteem, meet new people, and have fun at ComedySportz's Summer Improv Camp! Campers will laugh and learn through improv games and warm-ups and focus on creativity, confidence, listening skills, and teamwork. The week will end with an hour-long performance for friends and family.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre's Summer Camps are designed to bring theatre to life for children! They offer various different camps based on the age, abilities and interests of your camper, including musical theatre camp, improv, stage combat class and neurodivergent option to Intro to Acting.

A summer camp for kids who love to sing! Indianapolis Children's Choir summer camp is a week-long camp that offers fun musical activities, camp friendships and a performance on the last day.

Girls Rock is a girl's camp (including female-identified/transgender individuals) that focuses on music including instruments & songwriting. Youth participate in workshops that build self-confidence, assertiveness & leadership. At the end of the week, campers will put on a concert playing their original songs along with the band.

Younger campers will spend their days singing, dancing, and acting, and will perform in a final show. Older campers will experience an audition, the rehearsal process, helping with simple costumes, props, and sets, and perform a full junior musical!
