Atlanta Botanical Garden
Vanessa M.: The wonderful world of plants and flowers can be found at both Atlanta Botanical Garden's locations. While the larger main location offers a children's garden with active play features and hands-on activities, the Gainesville location also caters to children with a variety of kids programs such as storytimes and discovery stations. Art and water features, exotic plants, and even live animals at the Tropic Conservatory (main location) will keep kids engaged and learning.

Fox Theatre
Vanessa M.: No need to travel to Broadway in New York; Atlanta has a solid hold on family theater events at the historic Fox Theatre. Kids will be wowed by a Broadway show experience, as there is typically always at least one family-friendly show running. Booster seats are available on a first come, first serve basis to help smaller guests get the very best view of the stage.
Dunwoody Nature Center
Vanessa M.: Get outside and explore the nature and wildlife of the wetland area surrounding Dunwoody Nature Center. Kids will love taking a stroll on the Wetlands Boardwalk, playing at the fun playground, testing out the hammocks, taking in the view from the treehouse, and enjoying events like Free Friday Night Hikes and Mommy and Me Nature Classes. Family Fun Improv at the Basement Theatre
Vanessa M.: Friday nights are family time at the Basement Theatre, Atlanta's best underground improv theater. The improv comedy show is G-rated and fun for all ages. Make sure to speak up with suggestions for the cast to use in their silly improv scenes and games, and don't be shy about volunteering yourself (or your family members) to go onstage and be part of the fun. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.

Braves Baseball Game, SunTrust Park
Vanessa M.: Kids are treated just like V.I.P.'s at the Atlanta Brave's stadium, Sun Trust Park. In addition to 9 (or more) innings of baseball fun, kids can explore Hope & Will's Sandlot, an exciting kids zone with rock climbing wall, zipline, and carnival games. Kids age 4-14 are invited to run the bases just like the big players at the bottom of the 7th inning at every Sunday home game.

Stone Mountain Park
Vanessa M.: Historic Stone Mountain Park is packed with family-friendly things to do. Hike up the mountain and enjoy a picturesque view of the scenery and the iconic Confederate Memorial Carving, or take a Summit Skyride or scenic train ride to take it all in. The seasonal laser light show is stunning, or explore Geyser Towers, climb the high ropes course, and much more. On-site camping and lodging is also available.
Atlanta History Center
