Riley's Farm
Gina I.: Escape the hustle and bustle of every day life and head to Riley’s Farm for some good old-fashioned berry picking! Their u-pick selection includes strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and more. Half pint, pint, quart, and gallon containers are available. They also offer a decadent tea time service, as well as many dinner events. Consider attending Swing Dance Nights, Murder Mysteries, a Colonial Faire and more fests for the whole family!
Carlsbad Strawberry Company
Alexandra F.: In addition to picking your own tasty strawberries, admission includes access to the sunflower maze, photo opportunities, free games, and hay pyramids.
South Coast Farms
Alexandra F.: Enjoy a no-frills, authentic strawberry picking experience at this Orange County farm with two locations: a farm stand selling fresh fruits & vegetables in Dana Point, and u-pick strawberries at the Tree of Life Nursery in San Juan Capistrano. Come any time Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm during strawberry picking season - no reservations needed! Check their Facebook and Instagram pages for season and availability.
Tanaka Farms
The year round pick-your-own experience at Tanaka Farms includes a 1-hour guided wagon tour. This educational ride around the farm ends in picking your own fruit and veggies. Along with strawberry picking, they also host similar experiences like corn tours, melon tours, and u-pick vegetables. Tours also include admission to the farm, visiting with chickens, entrance to the play area, and a seasonal maze during the Fall. This is a very kid-friendly farm, especially during Pumpkin Patch Season and holidays.
Murray Family Farms
Gina I.: Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries...you can pick them all at Murray Family Farms! In fact, you can pick a variety of delicious produce, including: peaches, plums, avocado, tangerines, and more. While you're there, be sure to visit The Animal Garden to pet friendly farm animals. Kids can also bounce on a giant jumping pillow, take a wagon ride, and more! Special family events and festivals occur year round. There are two Bakersfield locations, but the Big Red Barn is where you want to go to pick your own berries during their special events!
Underwood Family Farms
Gina I.: With two locations, Underwood Family Farms is the place to pick your own strawberries (and other fruits!) with the family. In addition to strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries, you can also pick your own tangerines and figs. Be sure to verify which of the two locations is currently offering the type of produce you wish to pick. These farms are special for kids year round, from a unique summer nature camp experience to meet and greets with Santa during Christmas, and everything in between.
