There are many u-pick farms in Dallas-Fort Worth (and nearby) where you can pick your own fruits, vegetables, and even flowers! These family-friendly farms offer a unique opportunity to connect with nature, teach children about where their food comes from, and have fun outside while harvesting fresh, seasonal produce.
This interactive list is collecting all of our community's favorite u-pick farms within driving distance of DFW. There's much more than berry picking in Texas! In addition to strawberries and blueberries, you can also find peaches, pumpkin patches, flowers, and a rainbow of vegetables to pick from.

Jenkins Farms Peach Orchard
Jenkins Farms is the place to pick your own peaches, and blackberries and plums are also grown. Baskets are provided, and morning is the best time to pick because the peaches are cool (and sellouts can happen).
Ravenna, TXBlueberry Hill Farms
Pick your own blueberries and blackberries at Blueberry Hill Farms. U-pick berry season takes place each summer in June and July. The farm provides buckets for picking, and they bag your berries in freezer bags to take home. A country store offers pies, preserves, blueberry frozen yogurt and more.
Brownsboro, TX
Oneal Berry Farm
Families can pick blueberries and blackberries each summer at Oneal Berry Farm. Blackberry season typically runs mid/late May through early July, and blueberries will be ripe closer to the beginning of June. No pesticides or herbicides are used.
Royse City, TXBlase Family Farm
Blase Family Farm offers blueberry picking in the summer and a family-friendly pumpkin patch with attractions in the fall. The farm does not use insecticides, herbicides or pesticides on its produce. Kids can also check out honeybees and try homemade popsicles.
Rockwall, TX
Pure Land Farm
This 100% u-pick farm near Dallas grows blackberries, tomatoes, beets, carrots, peppers, cucumbers, summer squash and more with regenerative farming practices. The pick your own season runs mid-May through mid-July. Reservations are required to ensure short lines and plenty of produce for everyone, and a limited number of season passes are offered for families that want to visit multiple times throughout the summer. No synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or other additives are used.
McKinney, TXLavender Ridge Farms
Lavender Ridge Farms is home to a beautiful lavender field and more perennial gardens. Visitors are welcome on certain days from March to October to visit with rescued farm animals and enjoy the gardens. U-pick lavender is offered during blooming season, typically early June through July. The farm also features a cafe with lavender-inspired cuisine and a gift shop with handmade products.
Gainesville, TX
Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm
Pecan Creek is a popular spot to pick your own strawberries. Lines can be long and the berries can sell out, so plan ahead and show up early for the best experience. U-pick berries are sold by the pound and their official strawberry picking bucket is required, but once purchased it can be brought back for subsequent visits.
Pilot Point, TX
Gemini Peach and Rose Farm
Summer is the time for u-pick peaches at Gemini Peach and Rose Farm, with over a dozen varieties of peaches ripening at different times from June to August. The farm specializes in growing and hybridizing new varieties of roses, which are in their prime in the fall.
Denton, TXWOW U-Pick Farms
This small farm grows a wide variety of produce and provides a fun and friendly u-pick experience for kids, with the picking season stretching well into the fall. A mix of hydroponic and traditional fruits and vegetables are grown, including berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons, potatoes and much more.
Krum, TXGoober Bub's Orchard
Pick your own strawberry season at Goober Bub's Orchard typically runs from early April to mid-May. No need to bring your own container, as the farm provides baskets for guests to use for picking, or sells a 4 quart "busket" that can be reused for future visits. A farm store sells a variety of strawberry baked treats and jam, plus a frozen berry lemonade. Off-the-vine pumpkins are sold in the fall.
Justin, TX
Western Belle Farm
Family-owned Western Belle Farm opens seasonally for strawberry u-pick, zinnia and sunflower picking, and pumpkins in the fall. If you come for berry picking with your kids, you'll want to plan another visit to take advantage of 20+ farm activities like zip lines and apple cannons that are offered at other times of the year during their Easter, Sunflower and Pumpkin festivals.
