Afternoon Tea Spots for Kids in Los Angeles
There is something so magical about enjoying a Los Angeles afternoon tea alongside dainty sandwiches and sweet treats. Many tea rooms, though, are typically just for adults. Fortunately, we've collected a list of the many lovely spots in L.A. that are just right for kids and families to gather and enjoy. Pinkies up!
Paris in a Cup Tea Salon
Erynn: If you have a Fancy Nancy at home, Paris in a Cup will delight her. The tea salon and boutique offers gourmet items from France (plus souvenirs from Paris), plus an array of jewelry, accessories, and more.
The Tea Salon itself is inspired by old movies and Historic Old Towne Orange, and the scones have won awards (really!).
The Huntington Rose Garden Tea Room
Erynn: The tea room is located within the Rose Garden and features English tea service with a bit of California added in! Of course, touring the Huntington afterward is a must, but there is an admission fee even if you are a Tea Room guest. Tea for Kids can be a special treat with crowd-pleasing menu items like PB & J tea sandwiches and fire ants on a log.
Tea Rose Garden
Erynn: Adorable tea sandwiches and delicate china cups are just two highlights of the tea experience at Tea Rose Garden. Over 50 varieties of tea will delight your taste buds, but it's the decor and the overall environment that's absolutely breathtaking.
Special menu items for children will make the experience even more enjoyable (and tasty)!

Rose Tree Cottage
Erynn: A place of royal garden parties and fancy hats, Rose Tree Cottage hosts a traditional afternooon tea. With decor straight from Britain, authentic china cups, and delicacies like Petit Fours and Toffee Pudding, you'll feel like you're enjoying a proper British tea!

McKenna's Tea Cottage
Erynn: This upscale tea cottage has over 60 teas to choose from and also serves homemade soup, salad, and more. Some of the more unusual flavors (like Plum, Vermont Maple, and Hazelnut!) will delight kiddos, and yes, they have crumpets! There's also a special tea for little kids (the Prince & Princess Tea), which includes their own pot of tea or lemonade plus a miniature scone.

Elise's Tea Room
Erynn: With etiquette classes, a full-scale restaurant, and plenty of tea, Elise's Tea Room invites visitors to enjoy a traditional English tea experience. The ambiance is amazing (and sure to delight the little ones!), with crystal chandeliers, a frescoed ceiling, and plenty of traditional music for a relaxing and enjoyable tea party! The children's menu can include heart-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and pink lemonade.

Millennium Hotel Rendezvous Court Tea
Afternoon Tea service available Saturdays and Sundays, from 2pm-5pm.
Erynn: During the week, diners can grab sandwiches, salads, coffee, and tea at the Rendezvous Court Cafe. And the ambiance is definitely enough to inspire a reflective tea time! But on the weekends, Afternoon Tea service is available in the elaborate dining area; there is a rose marble fountain, a gorgeous Baroque stairwell, and plenty of other lavish surroundings. Rose & Blanc Tea Room
Erynn: For a traditional tea setting in a traditional environment (it's pink!), the Rose & Blanc Tea Room is an amazing and glamorous experience. The London Tea Set features items like fruit salads and tea sandwiches, but it also includes British scones with jam and macarons. The 4 O'clock Tea Set includes Madeleines, macarons, and waffles with lavender syrup, among other delicacies!
Cost: $35-$50 for two people
High Tea Cottage
Erynn: Inspired by tea time rituals all over the world, the proprietor of High Tea Cottage aims for an enchanting tea experience for all her guests. With plenty of greenery and ambiance, the location itself is ideal, but the food is just as notable!

Chocolatine French Cafe & Tea Room
Erynn: Whether you have a hankering for some chocolate or would love to sample a crepe, croissant, or other French pastry, Chocolatine has it all. You can enjoy lunch here, as well, plus an array of teas and a charming French atmosphere.
Tranquility Baking Co & Tea Room
Erynn: Plenty of antiques create ambiance at the Tranquility tea room, but families will love the delicious baked goods, tea sandwiches, and an array of specialty teas. The highlight might be the themed tea parties, however, with past themes like Peter Pan and Once Upon a Tea.
But on a daily basis, the Tea Room also provides dress-up boas, gloves, shoes, and hats for tea partiers, making the entire experience totally whimsical.
