I understand that this movie has its problems (like Ben Platt playing a high schooler at age 27), but my teen son really likes it and we enjoyed watching it together. He'll rewatch it for the musical numbers and won't miss the chance to see the stage production if given the opportunity. I'd really only recommend it for older kids because it's so heavily about mental health and suicide.
