Bagsy Children's Consignment
Newborn - Children Size 14
Shila: Bagsy offers an upscale online consignment for kids. They have 1000's of high-quality used and NWT (new with tag) children's clothing, shoes, and accessories for sale online. As a seller, Bagsy will do all the work for you. You simply need to order a free consignment bag and fill it up at home with clothing from select labels. Please refer to their brand list for guidance. Bagsy will process your items, fluff, photograph, list them for sale, and ship directly to customers. When an item sells, you will earn ~40% of the sale price.
Kidizen
Newborn - Big Kid; Women
Shila: Kidizen offers a platform to buy and sell gently used and NWT (new with tags) kids clothing, baby essentials, toys, books, shoes, accessories, and more. There's also a section just for fashionable Mama gear!
As a seller, you own your own shop at home. You'll need to thoughtfully list and price your gear accordingly, as well as package and ship to customers accordingly. That said, in select states, a "seller scout" white glove service is offered to make house calls and they can handle the seller work for you.
OfferUp
All ages
Lisa R: OfferUp makes it easy to simultaneously make items available for local pickup or shipping. Most people on this site are looking for a bargain, so if you are in it just to make money, this isn't it! However, my local charity donation centers aren't accepting children's toys for safety reasons, so I've been using OfferUp to find homes for usable items. I find the app easier to use and less intrusive than Facebook Marketplace and the shipping option is seamless.
Mercari
All ages
Lisa R: I've found the Mercari app really easy to use for both buying and selling clothes. The listing lets you clearly indicate whether items are new, like new, fair, poor etc. in a searchable field and you're not limited to name brands and recent styles. They also offer dynamic pricing, which will slowly drop your price over time to a minimum level that you specify.
The Swoondle Society
Newborn - Children's Size 16
Kelly R: Started by a Brooklyn mom, Swoondle is an online kids consignment platform for parents to trade clothes with one another. Send in your kids' outgrown clothes in a prepaid bag, the Swoondle team will assign each item a trading value from 1-5, and you can use these credits to "swap" for items of the same value. The basic membership allows for 5 even trades each month, but you can buy or trade more (or without a membership) for an additional fee.
Poshmark
Newborn - Adult
Shila: Poshmark is a platform to buy and sell gently used kids and adults clothing, shoes, and accessories from all types of brand names. Above that, Poshmark is known for its unique social marketplace and community for fashion. You can "follow" and "like" sellers and watch their how their trends update, as well as join conversations on collections, photos, and more. Some sellers choose to operate as curators of fashion and personal shoppers for their followers! As a seller, you are responsible for your own management of goods and Poshmark will take a percentage of your sales.
Facebook Marketplace
All ages
Shila: Join Facebook and you've opened another door to community-based commerce to sell kids clothes online. Marketplace allows you to post nearly anything you'd want to give away online - in front of a local audience of neighbors willing to purchase. As a seller, you will need to do all the work including photography, pricing, listing, and communicating. You will also need to stand by to arrange safe pick ups and varying payment methods. As the boss though, you'd receive 100% earnings.
ThredUp
Kids-Adults
Shila: ThredUp is an online consignment where you can sell kids clothes online. As a seller, you will receive a "clean-out kit" to fill up with high-quality used clothing. All brands are considered! ThredUp uses an algorithm to price any qualified items. They take care of everything from photography, listing the description, and shipping too. Additionally, unqualified items are either returned or recycled. When items sell online, you will earn a select payout ranging from 5%-90%.
