The MSPCA Boston Adoption Center hosts a weekly story time, Little Bookworms Story Time, for young animal lovers. Read stories, sing songs, play games and visit with an adoptable animal and learn how to care for each type of animal. 100% of the proceeds will support the animals and programs at the MSPCA Animal Adoption Center.
EcoTarium STEAM Story Time: My Adult & Me
The EcoTarium promotes hands-on exploration for inquisitive toddlers and preschoolers with its early learning program, Ready, Set, STEAM, featuring a story, craft sometimes even a live animal encounter. Tickets are available at the information desk.

Chameleon Arts Ensemble - Free Family Concert & Instrument Petting Zoo
deb@chameleonarts.org: What does purple sound like? In the same way that artists create scenes with shapes and colors, composers paint pictures with sound. Join the Chameleon Arts Ensemble for a colorful, creative afternoon of classical music – especially for kids – with works by Beethoven, Manuel de Falla, Joan Tower, and more. An instrument “Petting Zoo” will follow the performance. Kids will be able to handle and play orchestral instruments, and will be encouraged to touch, blow, pluck, bow, and strike.
Starland Sportsplex & Fun Park - Toddler Time
Starland offers little ones a way to burn off all that wiggly energy and to socialize with other kids in a toddler-friendly environment. Kids can take a spin around the gym on the ride-on toys, bounce off the walls of the inflatable houses and just play and run.
The Somerville Community Growing Center
The Somerville Community Growing Center is a green space that sits on a ¼ acre of hillside near Union Square. They host environmental education and cultural performances and offer volunteer opportunities, as well as both regular and special events for children and families throughout the year, including storytimes, play groups and more.

South Shore Sports Center has created a toddler haven with its Kid's World. Inflatables, ride-on toys, pretend play and more are offered to help young children burn some of their toddler energy. Open seasonally from mid-September to mid-May.
