The Mitten by Jan Brett is about a lost mitten on a cold winter day that provides a home for all the woodland creatures! One by one starting with a mole they crawl into the warm safety of the mitten. The mitten stretches as each new animal crawls in with their friends until a brown bear takes his turn! The illustrations are so beautiful and kept my kids attention with every read.

Where's Spot by Eric Hill is a classic! Read the book and help your little person find Spot all over the place! Flaps are so much fun to open up and see if Spot is behind all the best hiding places around his house. My kids loved to open the flaps and see what's behind each one! Enjoy hours of fun with your sweet baby while they try and find their favorite puppy!

A favorite backdrop for photographers provides a beautiful place to hike with your family. Follow the paved walkways to the dirt paths that will lead to bodies of water for fishing throughout the park. Tons of nature brush keep the areas shaded in the hottest summers and the wind from blowing on the coldest winter days. Our family loves to walk and explore throughout the park!

This is a family favorite for us! Located next to a renovated house from 1826 and surrounded by beautiful landscape, these nature trails truly come to life. Take a walk on the large circular paved path that leads to the nature trails and then stroll along the White River and through the woods. It is a beautiful place to be year round!

If your child has a talent for sewing, Little Angel Gowns can use their help. The organization uses donated wedding and prom gowns to create beautiful gowns and tuxedos to donate to hospitals. The gowns and tuxedos are used by families when their babies pass away. It takes hundreds of volunteers to create the beautiful and special mementos for families to keep. If you don't have a talent for sewing, the organization can use additional help. There is always a need to organize, pack and sort donations and creations.
