Do you have a rug under your dining table?

Yes but it doesn't matter because our dogs scoop up any food that falls as soon as it hits the floor haha!

When do you stop using the night light for your baby?

I don't see any reason to stop using one even when your kids are older! My daughter is currently 20 months and we have used one as long as she's slept in her own room.

What age did your kid eat solid meat?

It's sad that I don't remember exactly when we tried meat the first time because my daughter is still really young, but everything blends together! That being said, she still doesn't love most meats and I think it's a texture thing. Deli meat turkey she eats almost every day though, and I'd say we've been doing that since she was around 1 year!

At what age do you stop reading bedtime stories?

My daughter is still under 2 so I know we have a ways to go, but reading at night is one of our favorite times of the day and I'll be so sad when we transition away from this special time!

Are you spending less personal time on social media than you used to?

I definitely post less on Facebook than I used to, but the Instagram story has become a bit of an addiction for me!

That's the truth. I have trouble even taking pictures of my daughter these days because she just wants to grab my phone! This is where my Apple watch has come in handy, so that when I'm with her I don't feel as tempted to look at my phone.

Oh gosh I really try, but I do find myself zoning out on Instagram most evenings! I actually got an Apple watch to help with this- so I can set my phone in a different room but still have access to texts and emails as they come in. It's helped a little but not as much as I had hoped!

Have you traveled internationally with your kids?

That flight would be TOUGH with little ones! And the jet lag too, with that crazy time difference!

I'm still on the fence about taking my 18 mo old daughter on a family trip to Italy! It will entirely change the trip but I'm not sure who I feel comfortable leaving her with for 8 days since my parents are coming on the trip too!

At what age did your kids understand that people don't live forever?

Oh this is so sad to think about! My daughter is way too young to explain this to her yet, but I know it will be a hard conversation, especially since we have two senior dogs!

When did you start solids?

We did sweet potatoes first, too! If the food is pureed they are totally good to go at 6 months. You're doing great! :)

Are there any activities that you "make" your kids try?

I love this rule and plan to implement it as well! The only way for kids to find what they like is by trying everything!

What's the best way for a new mom to exercise?

I agree! It took me a long time to get the motivation and energy to work out, but when I did, during my daughter's first nap at home was the easiest. I didn't have to worry about finding someone to watch her and if I was lucky she took a long enough nap for me to exercise to a DVD and shower too! ;)

Which family members do you do stocking stuffers for?

We love doing stockings after all the other presents have been opened! It's always a nice surprise- because somehow every year I forget about them!

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve?

We do this too! Every year my mom would put the PJs wrapped under our pillow so we opened them right before bed and put them on for the night. Can't wait to continue this tradition with my daughter! :)

Do you make family New Year's Resolutions?

Yes, but I've learned to keep them simple. Last year my resolutions were to burn more candles and to use hand moisturizer. Suuuper exciting I know- but attainable! And I did all right! :)

Does your family do "Elf on the Shelf"?

Lord help me. May the Elf on the Shelf be out of style as soon as possible. I think it would drive me insane! :)

What age will you allow your daughter to wear makeup?

I think it depends on the child a little. I had no interest in makeup (my mom actually pushed me to try it when I was 13!) whereas my sister wanted to wear it from the age of 6 or so. I still like the idea of waiting til they're a teenager though!

When do you take down your Christmas Tree?

I do love the idea of "the longer the better," but those pine needles seem to get drier by the minute the moment Christmas is over! :)

Real vs Fake Christmas Tree?

That was the original plan actually! We just don't have a spot to set it really. What we really need is more space! ;)
